CARING FOR YOUR COLOR

Coloring your hair is an investment. You want to make sure you are using only professional products purchased from a professional source specifically formulated for protecting color treated hair. Using a shampoo that is too harsh can literally cause you color to be washed down the drain. Certain conditioners can leave build up on the hair to fake a shiny healthy look only to cause breakage after prolonged use.

Products Matter

It is best to only wash your hair 2-3 times per week. Rinsing with cool water will help close your cuticle and seal in your conditioner. A deep conditioning mask or protein treatment may be used once every 1-2 weeks. Brush gently from bottom to top with a wet brush. Apply a leave in conditioner and heat protectant after every time you wash your hair.

Wash Day
Styling

Turn the temperature down on those hot tools! Anything higher than 380* can cause damage to your hair and can fade your color. Daily (or as needed), apply dry shampoo to your roots for a refresh and some oil in your mid to ends. Sleeping with your hair in a braid or loose bun will protect your hair from breakage while sleeping but will also preserve the life of your style resulting in less need for hot tools.
